Well and Sick Visits:
You may be billed for BOTH a "sick" and a "well" visit on the day you were scheduled only for a routine check up or physical.
A typical "well" visit includes such things as assessment of overall health, growth, and development, patient educaiton, counseling on behavior management, safety & nutrition, etc, immunizations, routine forms, BRIEF review and updates on chronic conditions, among many other issues.
If during such an appointment, your physician also addresses a separate medical issue that significantly increases the complexity or amount of time of the visit, you may be billed for a "sick" visit (inlcuding required co-pays) in addition to your scheduled "well" visit.
Examples may inlcude a new diagnosis or symptom (such as headaches or abdominal pain) or worsening or uncontrolled chronic conditions such as asthma or ADHD or if warranted, detailed follow up assessment.
All Co-pays and past due balances are due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks*, and most credit and debit cards.
Services not covered by your insurance are expected to be paid in full within 30 days.
We offer a payment plan in the event you are unable to pay in full.
If you have any questions about your bill, please contact our office (708) 848-8240.
